Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council (CMYC)

CMYC is the student advisory council for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County governments, and GenerationNation.

In CMYC, students from every high school in the community meet new friends, advise school and community leaders, have access to leadership and civic engagement opportunities, and develop skills, knowledge, and networks for success in school and into college, the workplace, and civic life.

All interested high school students in the Charlotte area are eligible to join CMYC.

CMYC is a program of GenerationNation. CMYC is a chartered youth council by the State of North Carolina.
